Wealth of activities
There’s a wealth of activities, attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping in the Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend area. The ocean environment creates many extra opportunities that aren’t available elsewhere. There are tons of places to hang out at the beach, go fishing, or boating. Wildlife is abundant in the area, fish are plentiful, dolphin sightings are common, and bird watching locations are phenomenal. Inland there are dozens of parks, pools, and skate parks.
If you want to take a break from the outdoor activities, there are shopping malls, restaurants, movies, and other exciting places to visit. Go on a date, grab some friends, or get the family and spend a day exploring some of these adventurers. If you don’t already live in the area, you’ll be thinking about moving closer soon.
Texas State Aquarium
Every visit to the Texas State Aquarium is a new and exciting discovery! Experience daily dive shows, animal feedings, training sessions, and “hands on” programs with sharks and stingrays. Relax in our underwater dolphin room or cool off with a treat from the Pepsi Shoreline Grill.
USS Lexington
The USS Lexington arrived at Corpus Christi beach in 1992 due to active fundraising, strong community support, and the world’s oldest aircraft carrier has since served as a naval aviation museum, educational facility, and popular area tourist attraction.
South Texas Botanical Gardens
This beautiful, educational venue is a memorable destination for tourists, residents, garden enthusiasts, birdwatchers, teachers and students, or families out for an enjoyable recreational change of pace.
Padre Island Seashore
The seashore separates the Gulf of Mexico from the Laguna Madre, one of a few hypersaline lagoons in the world. The park protects 70 miles of coastline, dunes, prairies, and wind tidal flats teeming with life. It is a safe nesting ground for the Kemp’s ridley sea turtle and a haven for 380 bird species. It also has a rich history, including the Spanish shipwrecks of 1554.
Mustang Island
At Mustang Island State Park, what you do is up to you. You can play at the beach (swim, surf, build a sandcastle), camp, picnic, fish, hike, mountain bike, kayak, bird watch (especially during spring and fall migrations), and geocache.

Port Aransas

Get Air
Take a break from the beach life and try something different. This indoor trampoline park features different games and plays areas for young and small participants and more advanced activities for the older adventurers. Bounce on walls, over walls, in foam pits, through a ninja training course, and play trampoline dodgeball.
